Sarah Lee from Plenty Productions CIC facilitated the collection panel and community engagement strand of the highly successful Fashion Cities Africa  (FCA) exhibition for Brighton museum  in 2015- 2016. FCA was the first major exhibition dedicated to contemporary African fashion in the UK and it generated a huge amount of attention as well as critical success.

As well as organising a series of fashion shoots with local African diaspora communities for the FCA exhibition, Sarah also facilitated the Fashioning Africa collection panel for the project which brought together academics, local community members and activists in an equitable and productive manner to determine what items should be acquired for the permanent collection. One panellist in fact, described he experience as ‘life-changing’’.
